A special treat to kick-off a great conference, meet new friends and old friends, and enjoy the music of our popular Alaskan band - Fat Weasel.They have been playing in Anchorage, folk festivals, Dancing Bears and numerous events around the State for many years. Steve Montooth, guitar; Jason Bent, fiddle; Brian DeMarcus, banjo-bass; Aileen McInnis, bass and vocals; Christy Williams, banjo-uke. They play hard driving Appalachian Old Time String Band Music and Cajun.

8:00-10:00 p.m. "About Face, The Story of Gwendellin Bradshaw" a documentary film presentation: Kuskokwim - As an infant, in June 1980, Gwen suffered an unimaginable tragedy. She traveled throughout our community her entire life without the support services she needed. In 2004 Gwen suffered a mental breakdown.  This moving film journeys with Gwen as she confronts the abuse and deception that has haunted her youth and creates her own prescription for survival.
